Vicki Brown Sobecki, an All-American swimmer who earned one of the first women's athletic scholarships at Texas A&M discusses the history of Texas A&M's swimming program and how Title IX has lifted women into leadership roles beyond sports. In 2022, the SEC named Vicki as one of the two trailblazers of women's athletics at Texas A&M.
The Nine for Title IX series celebrates the 50th anniversary of Title IX, which was signed into law in June of 1972. This is the fourth episode in the series and is presented by the Fairfield Inn and Suites, Waco North.

The 2019 Texas Sports Hall of Fame welcomed seven new members in 2019: Maureen Connolly Brinker (aka "Little Mo"), Tony Franklin, Andre Johnson, Nancy Lieberman, Loyd Phillips, Greg Swindell, and Jason Witten.
Listen to memories of the induction ceremony, hearing great stories from the living inductees as well as Maureen Connolly's daughter, who accepted the honor on her behalf. We also hear from Dallas Cowboys legend Bob Lilly, sharing about the early years of his Hall of Fame NFL career.
